ABOUT US

OUR MANIFESTO

At Passions-n-Profits we believe in:
  • A strengths-based, positive approach – always
  • Leadership that inspires willing action
  • Developing and utilising the natural talents, skills and abilities of everyone
  • Diversity as a strength
  • Equality of opportunity
Within this framework we recognise that:
  • True leadership is not about how many followers you have but how many leaders you develop
  • Your human resources ARE your greatest asset
  • An empowered workforce is a productive workforce
  • Everyone should be valued equally and respected for their skills and experience
  • Nobody should be judged against the skills of others
  • The way we, and especially our leaders, treat others has a direct bearing on their health and mental wellbeing
  • Growth and change can be scary but they sure beat marking time in a passionless place
  • Failure is a learning experience
  • A healthy work culture turns teams into family
  • It is a beautiful, profitable thing when passion aligns with work
Working with individuals and corporations, we strive to provide a collaborative, efficient and effective service within the above framework.

We aspire to engage with local and global leadership in the development of strength-based and positive approaches towards the people they lead and the communities they serve.

Leanne Hardinge

Founder and Senior Service Designer, Passions-n-Profits

Whether she's working with Aboriginal elders heading up a World Vision project to support them to become actively involved in their children's education; or slashing a large organisation's costs while doubling their output, Leanne Hardinge uses a strengths-based approach.

This former stuntwoman turned leadership mentor is no fly-in, fly-out seagull who screeches loudly and moves on, but someone who works closely with organisations and uses state-of-the-art business tools to identify the passions, strengths and skills of their people to drive change and profitability.

Leanne's thirty-year-plus career has had one key focus – working with people and leaders to understand their strengths and build teams that maximise their potential.

From her first leadership role – heading a commission-based sales team of 213 people across Australia and New Zealand back in 1983 – she's forged a passionate career in team leadership and development across many social enterprise and business organisations.

MORE ABOUT LEANNE

Founder and Senior Service Designer, Passions-n-Profits
Leanne embraces diversity and revels in helping minority or socially disadvantaged groups to have their skills recognised and utilised. This passion has led her to work extensively with socially disadvantaged people and the organisations that support them.

From positions such as Director, Family & Children's Services for the YMCA in Darwin to General Manager of a disability service at Lutheran Community Care in South-East Queensland, she's used her passion for strength-based organisational change to achieve groundbreaking outcomes – such as reducing the disability service's expenditure by $700,000 while more than trebling the number of clients serviced.

Leanne has done extensive volunteer capacity-building work for many organisations including World Vision, St John's Ambulance and organisations assisting people of migrant or refugee backgrounds.

Leanne is also on the Board of Clowns Without Borders Australia – an international organisation that sends teams of clowns to bring joy and hope to children affected by disaster and war across the globe.

Recently she successfully led the redesign, implementation and integration of multiple rural and remote allied and mental health outreach services across almost 30 per cent of Queensland's Central West and North-West.

Wherever she is working, Leanne sees herself as a facilitator of change – someone who enables businesses and individuals to recognise their potential and build their capacity through teams that thrive.

She's found the basics of team development – building on the strengths of leaders and individuals and placing them in positions where they can excel and enjoy their jobs – often becomes lost in today's focus on process, measurement and management; whether it be in social enterprises or businesses.

From there the establishment of Passions-n-Profits was a logical outcome. It is a business specifically aimed at working with existing or potential leaders to identify and develop their own strengths – as well as the strengths of their people – to build an environment that creates synergy and inspires cohesive teamwork.

Leanne loves nothing more than being a cheerleader as re-inspired leaders harness their passions and those of their people to drive performance and profits.
